Geoff Tanizawa

Geoff Tanizawa is a seasoned executive in the live entertainment and concert promotion industry, bringing over three decades of experience in large-scale event production, artist relations, and national touring operations.

Mr. Tanizawa began his career in 1991 with Perryscope Concerts, Canada’s leading concert promoter, where he gained foundational expertise in artist booking and tour management. He later joined MCA Concerts, a Molson Brewery–funded start-up that evolved through a series of acquisitions under Universal Studios and subsequently the House of Blues, before ultimately becoming part of Live Nation Entertainment.

During this period, Mr. Tanizawa served as the promoter’s touring accountant for numerous international arena and stadium tours, with iconic performers such as The Eagles, Guns N’ Roses, U2, The Rolling Stones, and AC/DC. As country music achieved mainstream prominence in the 1990s, he expanded his portfolio to include high-profile engagements with artists including Brooks & Dunn, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Shania Twain, Keith Urban, and Eric Church.

In 2008, Mr. Tanizawa accepted the position of Booking Manager at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre, located at the University of British Columbia. In this capacity, he was responsible for programming, negotiating, and managing major entertainment strengthening the venue’s profile within Western Canada’s live entertainment market.

Following the successful completion of his contract in 2012, Mr. Tanizawa co-founded Sakamoto Entertainment. As an independent national promoter, he expanded operations to deliver premium live experiences across Canada, promoting leading artists such Aerosmith, Don Williams, Dwight Yoakam, Zac Brown Band, Little Big Town, Steve Miller Band, Old Dominion, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Blake Shelton, Luke Combs, and Morgan Wallen.

In 2019, Sakamoto Entertainment merged with Red Boot Entertainment Group, forming Red Boot Live, a national entertainment company recognized for its operational excellence, strategic partnerships, and contribution to the Canadian live music ecosystem.

Throughout his career, Mr. Tanizawa has earned a reputation for his integrity, professionalism, and commitment to cultivating enduring relationships across all levels of the entertainment industry — from artists, managers, and agents to production crews, transportation providers, and venue partners. His leadership philosophy emphasizes collaboration, attention to detail, and respect for the teams whose expertise ensures the success of every performance.

Dawn Woroniuk

Dawn Woroniuk has over 25 years in broadcasting in positions consisting of Music Director, Program Director, and Promotions/Client Services Manager. In those roles she played a vital role in several artists careers such as Shania Twain, Johnny Reid, Paul Brandt and many other talented Canadians as well as worked tirelessly for her community.

Dawn has been the recipient of six Canadian Country Music Association Awards as well as served on several national boards including the Canadian Country Music Association, UNISON, Creative Saskatchewan and past President of SaskMusic. Dawn served as Chair of Country Music Week 2017 and was instrumental in hosting the event in 2012.

She has been a devoted member of her community volunteering for the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan, Denny Carr’s Secret Santa, Tourism Saskatoon and the YWCA along with holding the position of CEO of Saskatoon Zoo Foundation. Dawn was also honoured with the YWCA Women of Distinction Award for Arts, Culture and Heritage and was the recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal.

Working for the past 10 years with Sakamoto Promotions, now Red Boot Live, she has been part of successful Canadian tours for Keith Urban, Luke Combs, Old Dominion, Johnny Reid, Brad Paisley and several others.

Dawn is passionate about music, it’s artists and working in the industry with individuals and organizations who share her desire to be a part of its continued growth.
